My Journey

Get ready for the extraordinary journey of Terence Anderson aka Mr. Anderson, a musical maverick whose life story reads like a chart-topping hit. Born in the heart of Jamaica, West Indies, Terence's life was set to the rhythm of reggae from day one. In the Anderson household, legends like Gregory Isaacs, Beres Hammond, Yellow Man, and Super Cat provided the soundtrack to his upbringing, infusing his soul with the sounds of the Caribbean.

However, it was in the vibrant streets of Brooklyn, New York, that the young Terence found his calling. Alongside a crew of like-minded friends, he crafted one of the most notorious dancehall and reggae sound systems in the borough of Brooklyn, NY. The beats were booming, the energy was electric, and Terence was on the rise – until one fateful day when he was introduced to hip-hop, and the music world felt a seismic shift.

The track that changed the game was "Award Tour" by A Tribe Called Quest. The beats, the rhymes, the culture – it all hit Terence like a bolt of lightning. Hip-hop was now coursing through his veins, and there was no turning back. He immersed himself in the genre, studying the pioneers like Kool Mo Dee, Kool Herc, Run DMC, Big Daddy Kane, and many more.

Graduating from George Westinghouse High School was just the beginning of Terence's musical journey. His turntable skills made him a sensation at CUNY Queensborough Community College and later at St. John's University. Invitations to spin at events across New York City poured in, and the world started to notice his incredible talent.

Yet, even with the beats pumping and his education soaring, Terence felt that there was more to discover in the world of music. He sought guidance from a higher power, and the path became clear. A friend shared the magic of Howard University, an institution known for shaping entertainment legends. Terence applied, was accepted, and ventured to Washington, D.C., armed with the makings of a production suite and a pocketful of dreams.

At Howard, Terence, now known as "The Politician," joined forces with another student, Daren Joseph, to create Soundbwoy Productions. Their collaboration birthed a track that would become Juelz Santana's smash hit, "There It Go (The Whistle Song)." The tune earned Terence a prestigious 2007 ASCAP Pop Music Award, A platinum single/album, cementing his place in music history. Later Anderson was able to amass over 500 television and film music placements, a library, or sync songs and instrumentals he continues to grow to this day.

While partnerships may come and go, Mr. Anderson continues to work his magic in the studio, producing dynamic beats, and spreading the love of music. His journey is far from over, and every moment is a chance to make musical history. Get ready for more chart-toppers, unforgettable beats, and the electrifying story of a true music legend.
